Music stimulates sensory development in infants and supports language acquisition in toddlers. For babies, gentle lullabies and simple rhythms provide comfort and auditory stimulation. As they grow, interactive songs with movements enhance motor skills and coordination. By age 3, group singing, and basic instrument play foster social skills, creativity, and early mathematical concepts through pattern recognition.
Music
Artistic activities evolve with age. Infants explore textures and colors through safe, edible materials. Toddlers experiment with finger painting and playdough, developing fine motor skills and sensory awareness. By around the age of 3, children engage in more structured art projects, using various tools to create recognizable shapes and express ideas, fostering creativity and early writing skills.
Arts
Infants during outdoor time, means supervised tummy time on a blanket, feeling grass or sand, and observing nature. Toddlers engage in safe exploration, learning to walk on different textures and interacting with natural objects. Preschoolers benefit from more active play, using age-appropriate equipment to climb, balance, and run. All ages experience the calming effects of nature, supporting emotional regulation and sensory integration.
Outdoor Play
For babies, storytime involves looking at high-contrast images and feeling textured books. Toddlers enjoy interactive books with flaps and repetitive phrases, supporting language development. As children approach age 3, longer stories with more complex plots introduce new vocabulary and concepts. Throughout all stages, storytime nurtures bonding, language skills, and a love for books.
